Note: The Book of Lies is also falsely called BREAKS. The Wanderings or Falsifications of the One Thought of Frater Perdurabo, which Thought is itself Untrue. Crowley, "This book deals with many matters on all planes of the very highest importance. It is an official publication for Babes of the Abyss, but is recommended even to beginners as highly suggestive."... The original edition (1913) and the Hayden edition (1962) are similar and on page one is "Liber CCCXXXIII." On the next page it states "AA Publication in Classes C and D. Official For Babes of the Abyss. Imprimatur. N. Fra. AA." However, the Weiser edition (1970) changes "Liber CCCXXXIII" to "The Book of Lies." and eliminates - "AA Publication in Classes C and D....etc"... The Gordon Press edition is a facsimile of the Weiser edition.

Note: It has been said that no copy of this manuscript survives but this is not true, it is simply
unpublished. Besides that which Crowley himself publishes, claiming their origin from The Book
of Oaths, there are eight scrolls with numerous poems in each at the Warburg. Only the first scroll
is broken down and added into this issue of Red Flame. It contains a short Preface and eighteen
unpublished poems.... Another manuscript of The Book of Oaths sold at Sotheby's in December of 1996 containing only Scrolls I-VI, it was listed as being 440 pages long and was dated circa 1919.
