The conference organizers propose the following themes:

• The current state of the Turkic peoples’ traditional culture.

• Field researches of the Turkic peoples’ traditional culture.

• Cross-disciplinary aspects for researches of traditional culture.

• Material and spiritual culture of the Turkic peoples.

• Main problems of studying of the Turkic languages.

• Verbal folklore, its genre structure and poetic structure.

• Folklore and written tradition. Problems of Folklorizm in literature.

• Problems of ethnomusicology. Genre typology of musical folklore. Problems of folklore performance.

• National choreography: problems of studying and embodiment.

• Intangible cultural heritage: problems of actualisation and preservation.

The languages of the conference are: Turkic languages, Russian and English.

We invite postgraduate and early-career scholars, lecturers, assistants, research assistants, PhD holders, professors and associate professors.

The International Scientific Conference will take place on 12-15 April 2017. Arrival of participants is on 12 April 2017. Venue of the conference is Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan (66/33, Pushkin st., 420015 Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia).

Travel expenses are at the expense of the sending part or a participant. The organizing committee will arrange accommodation of participants. Conference participants do not pay for publishing of conference materials.

For participation please submit proposals by e-mail to gctf2003@list.ru with the following by 15 December 2016: Participant application form (the title is ‘Surname_ Application’); Article (the title is ‘Surname_Article’).

Conference materials will be published in a collection of articles by the beginning of the Conference (It will be coded ISBN, UDC, BBK. The collection of articles will be sent to the libraries, registration in the Russian Book Chamber). The Committee reserves the right to select the articles according to the theme of the conference.
