Checks prior to Start-up

(Version with mechanical seal)

	CAUTION
During execution of the checks the motor must not be connected to the power supply

● All joints tightened with prescribed torque values (for dimensions and materials of threaded joints → parts list chapter 8)

● All transport locks removed, drive ready to run (oil quantity?, venting screw? see instructions from motor and gear manufacturer, → chapter 9)

● All provided protection devices mounted (covers, grids)

Mechanical Seal

● Sense of rotation in accordance with the arrow on the agitator lantern

Version with clamping ring:

♦ clamping ring tightened

Version with set screws DIN 916 (with cup point) in the rotating sleeve:

♦ set screws tightened

Version with shrink disk:

♦ screws of shrink disk tightened

● Fixing segments disengaged

Version with buffer-fluid:

♦ sufficient liquid in the reservoir

♦ plug of the reservoir replaced with venting screw

♦ piping tight

Version with water-cooling:

♦ cooling water supply routed and operational

Version with heat trap:

♦ cooling water supply connected to the heat trap and operational

Version with flushing:

♦ flushing operational

Version with collector tray:

collector tray drain operational

Version with temperature monitoring:

♦ temperature monitoring device electrically connected (→ chapter 9)

Version with float switch for the level control in the reservoir:

♦ float switch electrically connected (→ chapter 9)
