Не могу рекомендовать работу Беттельгейма, разве что как представляющую исторический интерес; с другой стороны, предостерегающее разоблачение Поллака прочитать следует: оно показывает, как пренебрежение психоанализа к ключевым принципам доказательства и проверки создает благодатную почву для шарлатанства.

Хоть и не упомянутая в этой главе, книга Оливера Сакса — Sacks, Oliver. The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat: And Other Clinical Tales (1998)[64]— предоставляет очень интересное свидетельство того вреда, который несет какое бы то ни было разрушение семьи.
